Conflicting reports emerge on Jolie birth
Rep for actress tells People magazine that twins haven't arrived yet
LOS ANGELES - Amid a flurry of reports that Angelina Jolie has given birth to twin daughters in France, a representative for the actress says the reports are not true, according to People.
"Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France," an unnamed rep for the actress told People.
“Entertainment Tonight” reported Friday that Jolie had given birth to twin girls. Access Hollywood quoted French tabloid reports saying Jolie's babies were named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane. The twins are reportedly named after their grandmothers. Marcheline Bertrand was the name of Angelina’s mother, who passed away in 2007.

The French tabloid reports suggested Angelina may have given birth by Caesarean, watched over by her own doctor from Los Angeles.
Representatives for Jolie and her companion, Brad Pitt, did not immediately respond to phone and e-mail requests from The Associated Press for comment.
The twins are the fifth and sixth children for the couple. Their other children are 6-year-old Maddox, 4-year-old Pax, 3-year-old Zahara and 2-year-old Shiloh.
The pair recently moved into the Miraval Estate villa in the French hamlet of Correns, in the Provence region, according to the mayor and the inn’s owner.
“They are people who I hope will live normally here,” Mayor Michael Latz told The Associated Press.
Security guards were blocking the gates to the estate Friday, while a postal truck and other maintenance vehicles regularly passed in and out.
Onno Stijl, owner of the L’Auberge du Parc inn, said it was a good thing they were moving in and could help business. He said he gets his wine from the estate’s vineyards.
“It’s a couple living here now like everyone,” he said by telephone.

The area, he said, “is a bit isolated but that gives it a certain ... privacy.”
According to its Web site, the Miraval estate dates from pre-Roman times. It includes fountains, aqueducts, moats, a lake and vineyards that produce an organic wine distributed worldwide.
Pitt and Jolie may be Miraval’s first movie stars in residence, but Miraval has seen its share of rock stars. The estate includes a studio which has hosted the likes of Sting, the Cranberries and Pink Floyd, who recorded tracks for “The Wall” album there.

Lindsay Lohan engaged to Samantha Ronson?

Reports: LiLo is engaged to Samantha Ronson
Just days after photos emerged of Lindsay Lohan kissing her deejay gal pal, Samantha Ronson, rumor now has it that there's a lot more to the smooch -- a wedding in fact.
Whether for real or for show, there's talk that the troubled 21-year-old actress is engaged to Ronson, 30, who's openly gay, and has been Lohan's inseparable sidekick for more than a year.
British tabloid the Daily Star ran photos Tuesday of Lohan sporting a ring on her wedding finger and reported the actress had told a pack of Cannes paparazzi she was engaged to Ronson.

Britney to return to ‘Mother’ on May 12
Pop star’s character, Abby, to pair up with Neil Patrick Harris’ Barney

LOS ANGELES - For anyone wondering whether pop singer Britney Spears might soon return to prime-time television, the answer on Monday from CBS could be summed up in four words: “Baby ... One More Time.”
Weeks after she drew glowing reviews and strong ratings as a guest star on the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” Spears will return to the show on May 12 to reprise her role as a sassy office assistant named Abby.
“We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again,” series executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement.

“And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you,” Thomas added, jokingly.
A network spokeswoman also said the episode would be shot sometime this week in Los Angeles.
In her March 24 debut on the series, Spears’ character fell for the show’s leading man, Ted, played by Josh Radnor, only to end up angry at Ted when he started dating her boss.
In her return appearance, Abby tries to get even with Ted by pairing up with his estranged pal, Barney (former “Doogie Howser, M.D.” star Neil Patrick Harris), who “pops a surprising question to Abby,” according to a CBS synopsis of the plot.
Spears’ first appearance on the show last month drew 10.6 million viewers, up sharply from the show’s season-to-date average audience of 8.1 million.
The mostly positive reviews also gave the performer a rare burst of upbeat headlines amid a torrent of highly publicized personal problems in recent years.
Spears, 26, rose to fame as a teen star with a series of chart-topping singles, starting with “Baby ... One More Time.” By 2002, she was named the world’s top celebrity by Forbes magazine after earning $39.2 million in a single year.
But her fortunes turned following the breakup of her marriage to Kevin Federline in late 2006. She passed in and out of rehab, lost custody of her two young sons and was hospitalized twice for psychiatric evaluation.
In recent months, however, Spears’ life seemed to be back on the upswing under the guardianship of her father and a reconciliation with longtime manager Larry Rudolph.
Her appearance last month on “How I Met Your Mother” sparked speculation that Spears might branch out further into acting, following a successful guest turn in March 2006 on the NBC comedy “Will & Grace.”

Britney granted expanded visitation with kids
K-Fed's lawyer says change is ‘recognition of progress that has been made’

LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears will have expanded visits with her two sons following a low-key child-custody hearing in Los Angeles.
Mark Vincent Kaplan, lawyer for Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline, said the longer visits are “recognition of the progress that has been made.” Speaking after the hearing concluded, Kaplan said there’s been no change to orders granting custody of both boys to Federline, but that Spears would see them for longer periods.
Spears smiled briefly but did not address questions as she left the hearing, which was closed to reporters.
Spears quiet arrival in court Tuesday was a departure from the spectacle of previous appearances that included screaming fans with banners, frenzied paparazzi and the troubled pop star dressed in cocktail-party attire.
Wearing a brown polka-dot dress and white sweater, a somber Spears entered the courtroom flanked by a handful of people, including her parents and attorneys. Ex-husband Kevin Federline arrived about 15 minutes later in a beige pinstriped suit with attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan and spokesman Elliot Mintz.
Moments after Commissioner Scott Gordon swore them in, Spears attorney Stacy Phillips asked that the hearing be closed, and Gordon ordered reporters to leave.
Both Spears and Federline re-emerged a short time later for a break and went to separate rooms. Spears walked hand-in-hand with attorney Blair Berk, speaking in a low voice as they got into an elevator.
The dozens of people who witnessed Spears’ courthouse arrival as a front-seat passenger in a white Land Rover waited outside. But even this collection of photographers, reporters, sheriff’s deputies and prospective jurors didn’t compare to the circus that surrounded Spears’ January trip to the courthouse, when she arrived in a black minidress and gold platform shoes, then left before the hearing began.
It’s been three months since Spears left a psychiatric ward a week ahead of schedule and stirred up a paparazzi car chase, a scene that looked like the beginning of even more erratic behavior. But in the weeks that followed, she lay low and largely avoided the cameras, spent time with family members and even found success in a cameo appearance on on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.”
During that time, the 26-year-old pop star has been under the conservatorship of her father. The court-ordered arrangement put James Spears in control of his daughter’s personal and financial affairs.
Federline has had full custody of his two sons by Spears, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, since January, when police were called to Spears’ home after she refused to relinquish one of the boys to a Federline bodyguard. Spears was taken by ambulance to UCLA Medical Center.
Her visitation rights were suspended at the time, but have been gradually restored in recent months. Tuesday’s hearing was to include discussion of a psychiatrist’s evaluation of Spears, a person close to the case told The Associated Press. The person was not authorized to speak publicly about the case and requested anonymity.
Gordon could modify the couple’s visitation agreement Tuesday based on Spears’ recent conduct, the person said.
Spears was a constant media presence before the conservatorship took effect. Photographers captured her every visit to Starbucks and gas stations around Los Angeles, and documented a bout of bizarre behavior that included appearing in public without underwear, shaving her own head and beating a car with an umbrella.
Since James Spears took over her affairs, the pop star has been relatively invisible to photographers, only occasionally snapped shopping or having dinner with her mother, Lynne. A traffic accident last month turned out to be a minor bump in which no one was injured, and for which no one was cited.
Spears’ public appearances have been limited to a well-received cameo on “How I Met Your Mother,” a role she reprised during a taping last week, a CBS spokeswoman said. The episode is set to air May 12.
“We’re thrilled to have Britney joining us once again,” series executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement last month. The show’s audience increased by a million viewers the week Spears appeared.
The pop star also made news last month when she took on full-time exercise and nutrition coaches from Bally Total Fitness. Once known for her flawless figure, Spears was widely ridiculed for her flabby form in September during a universally panned performance on the MTV Video Music Awards that was meant to herald her comeback.
Spears has been elusive at recent court hearings, her every anticipated appearance drawing a circus of media and paparazzi. A lawyer for Federline said the spectacle of her arrival in January — and subsequent quick departure — may have played a role in the commissioner’s decision that she remain barred from seeing her sons. Federline has allowed Spears limited visitation
rights since Feb. 22.
